1858 New Model Army. with original holster

Description:
New Model Army SN 41153, all matching except cylinder that is 21153 (factory mixup).  .44 cal, 8" bbl with light address that fades out on third line (New Model).  This pistol has no dings on the metal parts, and the grips are near perfect with one storeage ding on left panel. Bore is basically bright with some rust/pitting.  Muzzle shows absolutely no holster wear; cylinders are a clean gray, and the face of the hammer does not show nipple indentation.  This gun may have never been fired.  Mechanically it is perfect except the timing is way fast with the bolt popping back up too soon eliminating the function of the "half cock", which should allow cylinder full rotation.  No cartouche on the grips.  Front sight is a silver cone, left over part from Old Model.  This gun most likely spent its entire life in the holster that is included with it; when I bought it the entire gun was heavily rusted, so I cleaned it.  The result is an even gray light patina, with very light pitting over most of the metal parts; the top strap has heavy pitting.  The loading lever retention screw is most likely a replacement; I have a replacement if you want, but it is not original.  A nice piece that is the victim of poor storeage.  Original holster shows its age, with the snap pulled loose and 2 large cracks in the flap, which is normal for its age.  $1350/OBO with holster included plus S&H.
