SOLD European double barrel pistol with 4 5/8" smooth bore octagonal barrels at about .38 caliber.Gun overall is about 9" long.Metal is a brown patina, with smooth finish not pitted, with chisel engraving criss-crossed designes on sides of the frame.Both trigger drop down when hammers are cocked a dn triggers release, The right trigger has to be pused up after firing as it is slow, may need a cleaning. Gun locks uo solid, these were used in the Civil War as a hide -away gun and used by spies, hence smooth bore, at close range can easily disable an assailant.The French walnut fluted grip on the ledft side is good but the right side has split damage, and a small section missing. Has a factory installed lanyard loop. No name or numbers found. The base of the inner grip strap looks like a new screw used and is shiny color.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
