This is a 1924 Colt Army Special chambered in .38 spcl. The bluing is wearing off. The overall appearance is pretty good, the grips are in good shape, as is the cylinder and most of the coloration.

At the point the barrel enters the area of the cylinder, the barrel is frayed and looks like too large of a round was attempted, thus splitting the barrel.
