Magnum Research BFR Model Revolver in .480 Ruger / .475 Linebaugh ** Excellent Example w/ Scope **SOLD**

Description:
This is a Magnum Research Model BFR single-action revolver chambered in .480 Ruger & .475 Linebaugh.  It has been very lightly-used and remains in excellent all-original condition.  The BFR was designed by Magnum Research in 1999 to be a heavy-duty revolver that was extremely powerful, accurate, and reliable, while still being somewhat affordable.  It quickly earned a reputation with hunters and shooters all over the U.S. as just that, and rivals many of it's peers in build quality and attention to detail for less money.  Offered in both rifle calibers and magnum pistol cartridges, and in many different barrel lengths, the BFR remains in production even today, 20 years plus since being introduced.  This particular single-action only big-bore magnum revolver features heavy all stainless steel construction, a 8" inch barrel, a 5-shot unfluted cylinder, a right-side loading gate and ejector rod housing, a .480 Ruger / .475 Linebaugh chambering, and Hogue "Tamer" textured black rubber finger-groove grips.  This BFR originally had iron sights from the factory but the rear sight has been replaced with a factory pic rail optics mount and fitted with a Simmons 2X pistol scope.  As you can see from the pictures it is in excellent condition overall and appears to have been carried/shot very little since leaving the factory.  Outside of a few tiny little handling/storage marks and a faint drag-line around the cylinder, the stainless steel is bright and clean, rating 97% plus.  The bore in the 8" inch barrel is mirror-bright and perfect, with strong rifling throughout and zero visible imperfections or erosion.  The 5 chambers in the cylinder are equally as clean and free from damage/wear.  The Hogue Tamer grips are comfortable and in excellent condition.  They almost certainly help with the recoil of the magnum revolver.  The action of this BFR is perfectly "in time" and the cylinder lock up tight.  All of the controls are in perfect working order and the trigger is exceptionally good, breaking with a light pull with no grit, slop, or excessive travel.  While inexpensive, the Simmons 2 power pistol scope has bright and clear optics and appears to be in perfect working order.  It has a standard Duplex reticle and has an adjustable eyepiece for focus.  If you have been looking for romper-stomper magnum revolver that has the power to take down any game in North America, this Magnum Research BFR would be an excellent choice.  The .480 Ruger / .475 Linebaugh chambering gives you the versatility to shoot either ammo through it, and both rounds are immensely powerful pushing 325 and 400 grain bullets at over 1300 fps respectively.
