W. Korth .38 special ORGINAL police revolver, RARE 2" barrel, serial number 207xx. The first series production of Korth revolvers began in 1964 with the police revolver chambered in .38 Special, serial numbered 20xxx. In a feature that persisted throughout the production of Ratzeburg Korth revolvers, the cylinder chambers were peened and polished by a hardened steel ball pressed repeatedly back and forth. This leads to a glassy smooth surface and makes extraction and cleaning a breeze. There were only 482 of these pistols built with a 2" barrel for the German police. Finding one in the United States is extremely rare. A high degree of engineering and craftsmanship is immediately recognizable upon seeing and handling this exceptional firearm.The deep mirror blued finish is outstanding. The action, trigger and cylinder's operation are clean and crisp. Screws are clean and appear untouched. The metal's finish is bright and clean. There is light freckeling on the frame's back grip strap, right side of muzzle and top right corner of frame above the trigger.
Overall this is an exceptionally rare pistol in excellent condition. Everyone that has seen it always says that is a "beautiful gun".
