Made Circa the early 1900s in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

Here we present an Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Safety Automatic Double Action Revolver in .38 S&W, made circa the early 1900s in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The production run for this revolver was 1897 through 1941. Iver Johnson was a U.S. firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1871 to 1993. The company shared the same name as its founder, Norwegian-born Iver Johnson (1841–1895). Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The revolver was a small, sturdy, well-built self-defense weapon, ideal for potent conceal and carry in the closing decades of the tumultuous 19th Century continuing on into the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties.

This one features a trigger safety like those featured on modern striker fired pistols.

The overall condition is fine. 98% of the original nickel finish remains. The blue accents are virtually complete. The markings are clear. The trademarked hard rubber grips are in great shape. The bore is strong with sharp rifling. The action is excellent.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
