Antique HOPKINS & ALLEN Folding Hammer REVOLVER
Description: Antique HOPKINS & ALLEN Folding Hammer REVOLVER Late 19th Century Top Break Conceal and Carry Here we present a Hopkins & Allen XL Top Break Folding Hammer Revolver in .32 S&W, made in Norwich, Connecticut circa 1885 to 1898. Hopkins & Allen Manufacturing Company was a major manufacturer of rifles, shotguns, and handguns between 1868 and 1915. After an initial investment of $2000, H & A began operations as a producer of firearms, machinery, tools, and hardware. After the expiration of the Rollin White Patent in 1869, they began converting their percussion revolvers to accept cartridge ammunition. In addition, they started producing a line of spur-trigger cartridge revolvers in .22 and .32 calibers. From its humble beginnings, Hopkins and Allen had grown from a small shop with 30 employees to become a major producer of firearms and an employer of 600 workers. In a state known for firearm production, H & A ranked third only behind Colt and Winchester. Hopkins & Allen continued to manufacture a variety of revolvers and small arms until 1915. This little revolver was designed to be a convenient pocket companion with a small overall size and a neat folding spur on the hammer. This spur is that also found on Merwin & Hulbert revolvers of the same period and would have enabled the user to use the gun in both double and single action. The overall condition is fair. There are strong traces of blue finish. The markings are legible. The grips are in great shape. The bore is dark with good rifling. The action is intermittent. The hammer/trigger mechanism is functional but the cylinder does not reliably revolve. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 3 inches. Caliber: .32 S&W Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $385 #191044 SOLD Antique: Yes |
