"Cased Tranter 1868 Revolver .450 Centerfire (AH6765)

Description:
"This 1868 model Tranter .450 centerfire caliber revolver is marked ARMY & NAVY. C.S.L. LONDON. on the barrel rib. It also has the TRANTER PATENT oval logo on the top left of the frame with the serial number below. The barrel left flat has two Birmingham proofs with 450 between them. The overall length is approx 10"" The 4.5"" octagon barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun retains approx. 95% of its bright blue finish. The case hardened butt cap has faded but the cylinder shows traces of colors. The hammer, trigger, and ejector rod are bright. The frame has edge lines and a ""sunburst"" to the rear on each side. The checkered walnut grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. The action functions perfectly. The English case si fine with a 1.5"" blank brass medallion on the top center. It has fine lining and also comes with a cleaning rod and a James Dixon & Sons oiler. This great cased Tranter revolver would be a great fit for your English revolver collection.
