COLT BISLEY MODEL SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER IN SCARCE 38 COLT
Description:
4-3/4 inch round barrel chambered in 38 Colt caliber with a very good bright shiny bore. Barrel has most thinning blue remaining with what looks like holster wear on the left side of the barrel and the right side of the ejector rod housing. The left side of the barrel is stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 COLT.", with the correct 2 line barrel address. Front sight has been shortened and shaved down to a point. Case colored frame and hammer are mostly a dark grey color with just slight traces of case color in protected areas. Left side of the frame shows the Rampant Colt logo. Traces of blue on the cylinder flutes remain. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard and rear grip strap. Hard rubber checkered grips show some wear and smoothing with a repair at the front bottom of each grip. Nice action. Nice old Bisley made in 1910. Scarce gun as only 412 Colt Standard Frame Bisley Models were made in 38 Colt caliber. This small production number makes these very hard to find and would be a great addition to any Colt collection.
