"Serial number 167938. Made in 1896. 38-40 caliber with a 4 ¾" barrel. This is a nice sharp gun with even gray patina throughout. All markings are nice and sharp and all numbers match. This gun belonged to Elvis Presley . It comes with a fast draw rig that has his initials on the belt. This gun and rig were given to Elvis by Rodd Redwing ( American Film star and trick shooter and stuntman) during the filming of the movie Charro. Elvis used this gun to shoot light bulbs at his Graceland estate before gifting this gun to his Father Vernon. It was then purchase along with numerous other items by Sid Doane Jr. Mr. Doane ran a truck stop that featured a gun collection and he eventually started a Casino named Sierra Sids that is still around today. This gun was purchased from Sid Doane’s estate by Stephen Shutts of Rockology that specializes in selling memorabilia of Elvis and other Performers. Accompanying this gun is a Letter of Authenticity from the Elvis- A- Rama museum located in Las Vega, Nevada where this gun apparently was on display at some time. There is a binder of documentation that comes with this gun. Very neat historical Elvis gun that rarely come up. Within the last few years, guns that came out of the Sid Doane collection as this one have brought in the 6 figures at !
