Considered the "Rolls-Royce of Colt Revolvers", the Colt Python has a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, and a tight cylinder lock-up. Built on Colt's large I-frame, the Python is a double action handgun chambered for .357 Magnum cartridge and features a full barrel underlug, ventilated rib and adjustable sights. Originally designed as a target revolver, the Python became a popular carry among uniformed and plainclothes officers. All Pythons have Impeccable finish and mechanics, hand finished and tuned to legendary precision. This gun was built in 1974, it is serial numbered E61965. This example of the famous Colt has been re-nickeled. Mechanically this is a great revolver, the cylinder locks-up like a vault and the bore is excellent, the trigger is simply wonderful. This is a gun that you can enjoy out at the range day after day while the safe queens stay back at the ranch longing for a day out! Thumbing the hammer on this revolver is the most satisfying combination of sound and mechanical perfection leading to a SA trigger break of 4.2lb, DA is likewise smooth at 9.4lb. The walnut target style grips are in excellent condition with no damaged diamonds and are inset with gold medallions, there is a small scuff at the base. This Python is fitted with the second style of Accro adjustable rear sights with a white outline, the front sight has a red insert. On its introduction in 1955, the Python was one of the most imposing and expensive models offered by Colt. It represented Colts proposal to produce a deluxe high powered revolver in which the highest forms of mechanical and design perfection were to be embodied. History has shown that Colts aspirations have proven correct. It represented Colts proposal to produce a deluxe high powered revolver in which the highest forms of mechanical and design perfection were to be embodied. History has shown that Colts aspirations have proven correct. With prices of Pythons continuing to climb, getting a foot on the ladder sooner than later is the way to go, there are diminishing chances to own a Vintage Python so strike fast or this snake will be gone!

Considered the "Rolls-Royce of Colt Revolvers", the Colt Python has a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, and a tight cylinder lock-up. Built on Colt's large I-frame, the Python is a double action handgun chambered for .357 Magnum cartridge and features a full barrel underlug, ventilated rib and adjustable sights. Originally designed as a target revolver, the Python became a popular carry among uniformed and plainclothes officers. All Pythons have Impeccable finish and mechanics, hand finished and tuned to legendary precision. This gun was built in 1974, it is serial numbered E61965. This example of the famous Colt has been re-nickeled. Mechanically this is a great revolver, the cylinder locks-up like a vault and the bore is excellent, the trigger is simply wonderful. This is a gun that you can enjoy out at the range day after day while the safe queens stay back at the ranch longing for a day out! Thumbing the hammer on this revolver is the most satisfying combination of sound and mechanical perfection leading to a SA trigger break of 4.2lb, DA is likewise smooth at 9.4lb. The walnut target style grips are in excellent condition with no damaged diamonds and are inset with gold medallions, there is a small scuff at the base.
