This Colt Officers Model Pistol was produced in 1940. The pistol's serial number is 642983. This Colt is fitted with a heavy 6 inch target barrel. This Colt will shoot the 32 Colt New Police or the Smith & Wesson 32 Long cartridge interchangeably. The target sights are original to this pistol. This Colt is in unfired condition. The barrel forcing cone is still in the white. The barrel and chambers are in minty condition. The original bluing would rate a strong 99% condition. The original wood grips are in minty condition. There were very few of these Officers Model pistols chambered for this cartridge. Most of these guns were chambered for the 38 Special or the 22 Long Rifle. The 32 cartridge never caught on as a target round when these pistols were produced. This is a highly collectable and rare Colt for the serious collector to find for their collection!
