Description:
          This beautiful Colt Officers Model Target Revolver remains in 99% of its delivered condition when it left Colt’s in 1941.
          The revolver was manufactured April 21, 1941, and was shipped shortly thereafter. May 10, 1941, it was shipped to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State Quartermaster in Natick Mass. It was one of the guns in a shipment of 49. I think it’s a safe bet that this one was “Intercepted” and kept out of the routine issued stream for the past 83 Years.
          It is a time capsule with just the slightest storage wear. Of course, the bore looks like new, and the action is still “Factory Fresh” and fully functional. Very light wear can be seen around the firing pin hole in the bolster. Each walnut grip has a small ding along the bottom corner.
          It has been preserved in its original numbered box with all the original papers including a numbered target. The interior of the box and papers have dark stains on them as can be seen in the photos. It’s thick and appears to be old, dried grease. Perhaps it will come off with the proper solvent.
The amazing artifact is the original cleaning brush still packed in its paper sleeve. These are almost always missing.
This is a remarkable investment grade revolver that would enhance the finest collections. The Colt letter is included with the sale.

FIREARMS:
          Modern firearms, post 1898, can only be shipped to a Type 01 Federal Firearms License address.
          C&R firearms, over 50 years old, can be shipped to a Type 03 Federal Firearms License address.
A signed valid license copy will be required for shipment to only the license address.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded.  All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
 PAYMENT: 
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee.
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in-state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
