Description:
6 Shot Percussion Revolver with 7-1/2 inch round and part octagon barrel chambered in 44 caliber. Bore has gain twist rifling. This revolver is cut out for a shoulder stock. Rear sight is replaced and showing a lot of blue. The rest of the gun is mostly a brown patina. Overall gun looks pretty good. Markings are good. "US" marking on the frame. All matching numbers with the exception of the wedge and possibly the cylinder. Serial number may be on the cylinder but I can't see it. Back trigger guard has been re-nickeled and retains about 20% of that nickel. Grips show a fair amount of wear but still look good. Nice action. The 3rd Models were made from 1851-1861. This Dragoon is from 1858.
