Colt 1849 Pocket model revolver. .31 caliber percussion. Serial number 130194. Barrel length 4". All serial numbers are matching. The action works, indexes and locks up perfectly. The bore is good plus with some tiny spots of light pitting. The frame has approximately 30% of fading case colors. The cylinder scene is perfect and 100% clear. Revolver has about 98% bright blue on the barrel. The cylinder has about 95% of blue that is very lightly faded. This is seen on many revolvers as the cylinder, when laid down makes it the contact point in a cased set or as in a holster and results in light wear. The grip straps are nickel plated rather than silver plate. Colt and other manufacturers silver plated their grip straps. This results in fragile silver rubbing off or flaking. The owner of this fine revolver nickel plated the straps which should last a very long time.
