** SOLD ** Exceptional One of a Kind Cased Set of .45 Colt Single Action Army Revolvers *Custom Shop Engraved w/ Black Powder Frame & Ivory Handles**

Description:
Exceptional MINTY cased pair of consecutive serial-numbered Colt Single Action Army revolvers built by Colt's Custom Shop in 1985 with some spectacular special order features!  This truly beautiful one-of-a-kind set was manufactured in 1985 and both guns are un-turned & un-fired. They come with the complete with the original display case and it's shipping box as well as ONE of the original boxes with the original serial-numbered labels and the Styrofoam inserts for the other (Please see UPDATE notes below regarding the box/inserts) These Colt Single Action's feature sequential serial numbers, a factory mirror-bright nickel plated finish, 4-3/4" inch barrels, Colt blackpowder-type frames, the old factory black powder-style "bullseye" ejector rod tabs, factory-installed and factory-checkered Ivory 1 piece grips, factory engraved backstraps designed to appear as a banner with a blank area in the middle for having someone's name or initials engraved, and they are both chambered in .45 Long Colt.  Above the engraved banner there are Rampant Colts on the shovels. They remain in the original Colt Custom Shop presentation case, and include the original shipping box for the case itself with an intact shipping label, as well as a Colt factory letter verifying ALL of their factory original features.   The revolvers were originally shipped to Aeromarine in Birmingham, Alabama (a noted Colt Single Action distributer at the time), and were eventually sold to the owner of Match Target Firearms here in Lexington, KY..  Upon the owner's passing they were sold by our shop to a local collector in 2008 where they have remained up until we took them in.  We have sold a huge number of Colt Single Action Army revolvers of all generations in the last 48 plus years, and no one here including the two founders of A&M Inc. have ever seen another consecutive pair of Colts identical to these!  It is truly an extremely scarce pair.  Offered for the first time in 15 years, and only the 2nd time they have ever been on the collector's market, don't miss your chance on these beautiful and extremely classy Colt Custom Shop Single Actions.  They don't get any cleaner or more scarce than these, and it would be impossible to upgrade from them in condition or any other respect.    
UPDATE! We have recently found ONE of the original boxes for these guns!  It is a woodgrain Colt box with the end flap with the label missing, HOWEVER the original factory labels for one of them were inside the Styrofoam inserts!!!  Also there was another set of the Styrofoam Colt box inserts with it but with no outer box.  This is really lucky as we must have gotten them back in 2008 when we got them the 1st time, and maybe missed giving them to the buyer due to the labels being inside the box and the end-flap torn off.  I just happen to go thru the boxes and found this stuff last week.  Pictures of what I found are being added shortly.  The labels 100% match the guns and all of the features added by the Colt Custom Shop.
