Here’s a wonderful Colt SAA to add to your collection.
This revolver has a Colt factory letter stating a 1901 manufacture. It was originally shipped to Richards & Conover Hardware Co. in Kansas City, Missouri.
There is a letter with the gun from the heirs of the original owner. It states that the revolver went on a cattle drive from New Mexico and eventually found its way to a horse ranch in Swift Current, SK, Canada, where the RCMP would go to practice riding skills.
The revolver has a lovely patina and original black Colt grips.
It is chambered in .45 LC with a 4.75” barrel.
It has the wear and handling marks you would expect on a gun of this age.
The action locks up tight and timing is good.
Overall, a nice piece with a bit of history that it was used by cowboys in the Old West. What a great addition to a collection!
This firearm was imported and bears a discreet import marking.
