** SOLD ** Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .45 Colt **Abercrombie & Fitch NYC - Mfg 1907 - Ivory Grips - Factory Letter - VP Proof**
Description: This very nice 5 1/2" barrel .45 Single Acttion Colt left the factory in 1907 with special order two piece ivory grips shipped to Abercrombie & Fitch in NYC. While it has seen some use, it shows very little handling wear to the blue surfaces. It is tight and mechanically perfect, and 100% honest and original in every respect. The grips have aged to a beautiful warm mellow color and have no cracks, chips or major damage. Factory ivory grips are very rare and are found on less than one percent of Colt revolvers. These pre-date those with Colt medallions which weren't used until 1910. The bore is sharp and excellent. Overall the gun is 90% plus condition. This wonderful Colt SAA would make a strong addition to a collection and a very good investment. A factory letter is included.
