This Colt was produced in 1950. This pistol's serial number is 557969. It is fitted with a 5 inch barrel. As stated, it is chambered for the 38 Special cartridge. The Colt has the correct " Bowling Ball " colored plastic grips. The grips are colorful and in new condition. This pistol is as new and unfired condition. The Colt still has some of the original grease in the action! This pistol would rate a strong 99% overall condition. The only loss is at the very end of the muzzle where the box rubs the barrel. The box is in very fine condition. The end label is strong and bright. The box is serial numbered to this Pistol. On the top of the box in faint ink is marked number 8. This is a very fine condition Colt with it's original box and papers. This is the kind of firearms collectors strive to find for their collections.
