Inv. 6573 Colt 1860 Army Richards Conversion Cal. .44, Ser 3728. A super nice example of the scarce early Richards conversion. The gun has turned a lovely even silver gray patina. However there is no rust or pits anywhere. However, there are e few slight surface dings on the left side of the barrel group which really don't detract from it's fine appearance. The cylinder scene is complete and easily visible. The frame, cylinder, barrel group trigger guard and grip strap match. The walnut grips are in nice condition, The right grip does have a period repair at the toe, and the left grip has a couple of small surface dings. The chambers and the barrel do not appear to have seen much use. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling and just a touch of slight frosting.
