1970 Colt Lawman Series Wyatt Earp Frontier Scout Buntline .22LR Revolver
Description: Colt "Lawman Series" Frontier Scout Buntline Commemorative in .22LR. Introduced in 1970 with a limited production run of 3000 guns, the Wyatt Earp model features a nickel-plated 12" "Buntline" barrel, cylinder, hammer, grip frame, and trigger, matched to a gloss-black finished frame. These guns were given a special serial number range of 1LWE-3000LWE. This particular example is serial number 2708LWE and it remains in excellent mechanical condition. While it appears to be unfired since leaving the factory, it has been stored poorly and shows scattered freckling on the nickel finished parts. The factory gloss black finish on the frame has held up much better. The action on this Colt is slick and perfectly "in time", and the trigger is excellent breaking with a light pull. All of the other controls are in perfect working order. This scarce commemorative model would make a great shooter for those who prefer a longer barrel and at a fraction of the price of one in high condition.
