1861 Colt General Custer Commemorative with Rare Wooden Case
Description: I think this is on of the Signature Series 3rd Generation Colt Commemorative. .36 caliber, 7.5" round barrel, s/n 45129 Blued finish, raised carved and checkered wood grip. Four screw frame, cut for shoulder stock. Engraved with tight foliate scrolls and punch dot background shading in a "New York" style. Matching serial numbers, one-line New York address. Grip with raised carved eagle & shield motif on the reverse and checkered on the obverse. Colt signature on backstrap. This is the "General Custer" special edition revolver that is in very good condition. Both revolver and display show some handling marks. There is some case wear to the barrel on right hand of barrel near muzzle (see pic). The wooden display case with all the extras is seldom seen since most came with just the card board box.
