COLT SAA first generation B/P Sr.#76403 1882 Colt Historian Letter sold to Simmons Hardware Co. St. Louis, Missouri, Febuary 9,1882. It shows that is was shipped with 7-1/2" barrel but as one can see it was shortened later in life with the front sight hand fitted. From the marks inside the trigger guard, "hand filed" makes one think it was used on some bad indivuals! The trigger appears to have been replaced and I'm not sure abouy the hammer, but I think if we were that old some of our parts would need replacing also ! All matching numbers and no pollising marks.
