Colt, Mod.1861 NAVY, .36 Cal. Revolver, Matching, c.1863

Description:
          This Colt Model 1861 Navy is accompanied by its original tattered condition holster.  It has no military markings but the holster is a military style that suggests it may be a private purchase for military use.  The serial number dates it to 1863.  Family legend has it found near Chambersburg PA. Based upon the initials scratched on the butt frame it appears that “JRR” may have used, or lost it.  No hard supporting evidence is available, but Chambersburg is near Gettysburg.  If it could only talk. 
          It is all matching including the wedge, and has not been fooled with.  The brass is a pleasing mustard yellow and the steel surfaces are uniform brown.  The grips appear to have remnants of varnish present.  The bore shows strong sharp groves with some pitting and generally dark as would be expected.  The action is fully functionally with a very strong main spring,
          This is a nice example of an un-common percussion Colt that may have hidden history. Serial number 14762.  .36 percussion with a 7 ½” barrel.

SHIPPING: 
Normally shipments are made via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, Insured, with a return receipt.  Typical Packing, Shipping and Insurance cost for a handgun is $35.00, and for a Long Gun is $45.00.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged.  If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.  Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded.  All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
Sales:
All sales are made with the buyer’s full acceptance of the stated terms of sale. All sales are made in strict compliance with all Federal Firearms Laws. No items contained in thissite are offered for sale where prohibited by any Federal, State or Local laws. By ordering, the buyer certifies that their purchase will be in full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws. All transactions shall be deemed to occur in Pennsylvania regardless whether by telephone, mail, internet or the physical location of the buyer. All transactions will be subject only to Federal and Pennsylvania State law. Any disputes will be resolved in a Pennsylvania Court. 
 PAYMENT: 
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 3% processing fee. For Visa and MasterCard orders please provide the account number, code number, expiration date, name on card, phone number and card billing address. This information can be phoned in, or E-Mailed.  All orders must be paid in advance, C.O.D. orders are not accepted. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay. 
 LAYAWAYS: 
A 20% deposit is required.  Balance is due in 60 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 60 days.  Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX: 
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyers responsibility.
