We are offering for a sale an Antique Colt NEW ARMY D.A. 38 Revolver chambered in .38 Long Colt caliber. This revolver was manufactured in 1898 and comes with COLT LETTER signed by Beverly Jean Haynes. The gun remains in 95% or better condition.
4 ½” barrel retains 99% original bluing with slightest muzzle wear. The bore is bright with crisp rifling. The frame is very good showing light handling wear; No major flaws. Cylinder locks up very tightly and show very light turn line. Both hammer and trigger show stunning fire blue coloring; Gun functions flawlessly. There is some light wear, blue loss on inside grip strap. Original hard rubber grips are mint without wear.
This gun was originally shipped to SIMMONS HARDWARE COMPANY in St. Louis, Missouri. The gun was shipped Novemeber 12, 1898 and was one of 9 guns in the shipment. V
