Early Civil War Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A 5 Inch Barrel In Its Original Factory Case With Accessories In Very Nice Condition!
Description:
An Early Civil War Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A 5 Inch Barrel In Its Original In Its Original Factory Case With Accessoried In Very Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #143,920, made in 1858. All matching numbers, all original and complete. The revolver has fine metal, & markings throughout including the clear cylinder scene. It also has fine edges and a 5 inch barrel on it. The barrel has a natural plum patina with hints of original blue in areas. The cylinder retains alot of its original factory blue finish on it which is lightly fading to a plum blue color in spots. The frame and loading lever both show lots of darkening case colors on them. All of the screws are fine throughout. The original factory grips are excellent plus throughout with a wonderful color and retain all of their original factory varnish on them. This Colt Revolver has an excellent action and bore. The original case is fine throughout including the original burgundy lining & outer wood shell case. It has a fine brass pocket revolver bullet mold, an early untouched "Colt's Patent" double sided Eagle Powder flask, & original cap tin with a partial "Colt's Patent" Label on it. it also has its original key in it. The original outer wood shell Is fine throughout with no cracks or warping to it. This Is A Fine & Very Early Example Of A Civil War Factory Cased Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver With A 5 Inch Barrel That Would Be A Nice addition To Any Collection. These Early Colt 1849 Pocket Revolvers Were Often Bought & Carried By Both officers & Enlisted Soldiers On Both The North & The South During The Civil War!
