Early Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver with a pleasing untouched patina appearance. This example shows a uniform patina throughout. The trigger guard and back strap show approximately 65-70% original silver present. The grips appear to be period replacements with 2 notches on the left side. All matching serial number 9598 found on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, loading lever, and back strap (faint). While the cylinder serial number is 9698. Obviously a factory error as there’s virtually no way to just ironically have a number exactly 100 numbers off. The worker must’ve accidentally stamped the wrong number dye that day. The wedge isn’t matching and is a bit loose. Mechanically needs work. Overall a very nice untouched “Gold Rush” Colt 1851 Navy. Shipping is $30 plus actual insurance cost. Thank you!
