Gun appears to have been prepared for a re-finish. It has been polished bright on the cylinder and the barrel. Sharp corners and excellent markings. Cylinder retains about 90% of the scene. All matching numbers except for the wedge. The square back trigger guard has about 50% of a black tarnished silver. The balance is a dull brass color. The frame has a trace of case colors showing. 7-1/2 inch part round barrel in 44 caliber. Grips have a small chip out of the toe but are sound and solid. This is believed to be a Second Model Civilian Model. Only 2,700 Second Model Dragoons were manufactured from 1850-1851. Not a bad looking Colt Dragoon.
