Description: Antique Civil War Nickel Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver Rare w Matching Numbers & In Case w Accoutrements Here we present an antique Civil War Nickel Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver. The Model 1860 was the single most used pistol of the American Civil War. Over 200,000 were made from 1860 to 1873, and 156,000 were made by the end of the war in 1865. This specimen is in great condition and one of those made during the War. The original nickel finish is quite a rare feature and incredibly well-preserved. The front sight is German silver. All serial numbers match. The gun also features a cutout for an attachable shoulder stock. The Naval Battle cylinder scene is in fantastic condition. The military inspector cartouche is still visible. The initials appear to be “PB” for inspector Pomeroy Booth. They don’t get much better than this! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. A very similar 1860 Army with an original nickel finish sold in 2007 at James Julia for over $10,000! Barrel is round and 8 inches in length. Caliber: .44 percussion The bore is in good condition and the firing mechanism is functional. One nipple is smashed. Overall condition as seen in photos.
