32471- CIVIL WAR ERA ORIGINAL COLT 3RD MODEL .44 CAL. PERCUSSION DRAGOON REVOLVER W/ RARE 8” BARREL MFG. 1860. Late in the manufacture of the Colt Dragoon the 8” was adopted when the Model 1860 Colt Army was introduced which also had an 8” barrel. Production only lasted a few months and only a few hundred made. Serial numbered in the 185xx range and all matching and one of last Dragoons produced. percussion. Excellent as professionally restored with correctly done blue and case colors on a Dragoon that was in very good condition before restoration. All marking in exceptional condition including the 98% cylinder scene and the “ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY” barrel address. Screws excellent. Brass grip straps silver plated. Grips original to gun with the original finish with a coat of polish over top. Left toe with a well done repair. Excellent overall with nearly all the finish. Perfect working order and excellent bore and chambers. Extra scarce and very nice looking. $6900.
