Description:
Serial #71654, .22 RF, 3 3/16" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some areas of mild freckling within the grooves near the muzzle. This is a great looking revolver that has matching assembly numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder ("N0"). The metal retains 50-60% of the original bright blue finish with fading and freckling on the balance, most noticeably on the sides of the barrel and along the ejector pin. Further gray fading is present on some of the high edges and projections as well. The rosewood grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in good-very good shape with some minor surface scratches and flaking, mainly on the right panel. The lock-up is still tight, without any lateral play in the barrel, and the action is fully functional. This is a very good S&W No. 1, with a lot of original finish left. Antique
