Scarce Allen & Wheelock 32 RF Side Swing Ejector Single Shot Pistol Antique

Description:
Serial #993, .32 Rim Fire, 4 inch octagon barrel with a fine dark bore with light roughness and very good rifling. This is the Allen & Wheelock Side Swing pistol that has the later ejector mechanism. It functions by putting the hammer at half or full cock and pivoting the barrel counter clockwise (left). In very good to fine condition as refinished the metal surfaces have a bright nickel finish showing some of the underlying roughness with newer scattered contusions. The brass escutcheon grips are original and numbered to the gun with a crack in the left grip. Lock-up is tight and the hammer holds at half and full cock. A scarce full octagon barrel variant of these neat little single shot pistols. Antique
