Early Serial #8 Deringer 32 Cal Pocket Revolver Philadelphia 1874
Description: Serial #8, .32 Rim Fire, 3.5 inch round ribbed barrel with a fine bore with light roughness and strong rifling. This is the 32 caliber pocket pistol made by Deringer in Philadelphia with production from 1874 to 1879 and this example among the first produced and marked on the rib "DERINGER PHILADA". In very fine condition the frame retains about 90-95% of the original silver plate with wear along the high edges showing the brass frame underneath. The barrel and cylinder are now a pewter gray lacking any finish with some carbon staining and areas of very light surface roughness. The walnut grips, numbered to the gun, are in excellent condition. All numbered parts are matching. The action functions properly with proper indexing, crisp trigger pull and tight lock up with no lateral movement of the barrel and only very slight up and down play. A great looking, very fine example of these relatively scarce Deringer revolvers. Antique Price: $595.00 Antique: Yes Contact Seller |
