Description:
Serial #7642, .32 RF, 3 1/2" octagon barrel with a very good bore that has areas of dark pitting at the breech. This is a great looking looking revolver that has matching assembly numbers ("F8") on the frame, cylinder, and barrel, with the metal retaining visible remnants of the original bright blue finish under mottled plum-brown freckling on the majority of the surface metal (especially on the sides of the frame and on the topstrap). There is a light turn-ring on the cylinder, and some traces of color case-hardening remains on the hammer. The rosewood grips are original, numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in good-very good shape with minor handling marks, wear at the butt on either side, and some flaking of the varnish on the left panel. The lock-up is ll tight, with a small amount of vertical play in the barrel, and the action functions well. This is a handsome S&W No. 1 1/2, and is in very good plus condition overall. Antique
