This fine cased 54-bore Adams patent five-shot self-cocking percussion revolver, serial number 5195R (frame and cylinder), was made by Deane, Adams & Deane, 30 King William Street, London Bridge, circa 1854. The overall length is approx. 12"". The 6 3/8"" octagon barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun retains approx. 92% of its bright blue finish overall with a few spots of light roughness where it resided in the case. The barrel has London proof marks. The barrel top flat is marked DEANE ADAMS & DEANE (MAKERS TO HRH PRINCE ALBERT) 3O KING WILLIAM ST LONDON BRIDGE. The frame has edge lines and scroll engraving on the left and right sides below the hammer and on the left and right just forward of the cylinder. The right side of the lower frame is marked ADAMS,S PATENT No 5195 R. The trigger guard bow and butt cap are also engraved. The butt cap has a nipple compartment. The checkered walnuts grips are fine with no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. The very good original 13.5""X8""X2.5"" fitted oak case is lined in green baize. Accessories include a fine Dixon revolver flask, an Adams double-cavity brass bullet mould, a period oil bottle, ramrod with both tips, and nipple wrench. There are also three spare nipples, a few bullets, and the working key for the case. The lid has a very good Deane, Adams, & Deane interior label and and exterior circular brass escutcheon. This very nice Deane, Adams, & Dean cased Adams revolver is ready for your collection.
