Smith and Wesson "Model
1891"
Revolver.
Description: This is one of my Favorite American revolvers, an early rare example of the Smith and Wesson "Model 1891" Revolver. The Caliber is .38 S&W. and has the original blue finish, the wide hammer, a single action trigger mechanism, the Original grips, and a 4" barrel. Serial number #1839 is low and very early... Most 1891's were sold as single shot target pistols. Numbers are matching on the frame, latch, cylinder, and barrel. This Model looks like a Smaller version of the "New Model No. 3" Large Frame, but much rarer. The revolver cocks, indexes and locks up perfectly. 100% Original.
