RARE ANTIQUE HAMMERLESS 6mm CENTER FIRE VELODOG 5 ROUND REVOLVER
Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique Belgian Hammerless VeloDog Double Action Revolver. FFL is not required. It’s chambered for 5.75 mm ( known as 6mm Velodog). It bears the crowned "LEG" in an oval in the rear of the cylinder Liège factory proofs and acceptance marks, with a 1.7/8" octagonal barrel with a good bore and clean chambers, the original blue finish rates 65% with oxidation spots. The trigger doesn't pull and the hand which rotates the cylinder is off, the main spring is off or broken. I'm not a mechanic, I'm sure that a qualified gunsmith will resolve the problem. Those small pocket revolvers were originally designed and produced by the French in this specific centerfire caliber to protect cyclist of nasty bitting dog, they became very popular as concealable in vest, belly belt & boots were in high demand at the time. With its 5 shot clean chambers on a long flutted cylinder. Original factory nickel rates 90-95% thinning on some parts carried in poach or small holster, with collapsible trigger and both grips are chipped, all visible on the pictures. The action is works well with good timing. Sharp and well defined markings. Well designed & built, very collectible rare piece of history. The old ammunitions showed on the pictures are NOT for sale. I described it to the best of my knowledge. Please don't ask for extra pictures. $345 + $50 insured shipping to your door if you are over 21, payable by cashier check, P.M.O or credit card. Please have look on my other pieces. Thank you
