Antique Remington New Model Pocket Revolver .32 CENTER FIRE Ca 1873 No FFL
Description: $825. Far and away the cleanest one of these you'll ever find. This is a most remarkable and extremely rare CENTER FIRE conversion of a nickel plated Remington New Model Pocket Revolver. About 25,000 of this model were made, the majority in .32 rim fire. At some point in history this piece was further converted to the black powder .32 Short Colt center fire cartridge. This was a custom conversion, and I have never seen another one like it. The gun is in exceptionally good condition all around. Markings are sharp and clear and mechanics are strong. Made some time around 1873 when cartridge pistols were overtaking the production of percussion pistols. The owner of this gun went a step further and had it custom converted to center fire. This is a black powder gun with a black powder frame, made in the 1870's to shoot a black powder cartridge. The grips are genuine bone of contemporary make. This is a fine and exceptionally rare example of a true gentleman’s side arm in the 19th century. Sold as a collector's item only. Please have this or any other gun whether antique or contemporary checked by a competent gunsmith prior to firing. SOLD Antique: Yes |
