Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Exceedingly Scarce Antique Military Galand Double Action 6 round Model 1868 Revolver with a 3.3/4" round ribbed barrel with a good bore and 6 clean chamber, chamber for the 9mm center fire Galand cartridge (ammunitions showed on pictures are not for sale). FFL is not required. The Charles Francois Galand production started at first in Belgium in Liège then under license in Birmingham by Braendlin & Sommerville in England. Those Galand Model 1868 were issued to many different armies, France (Franco-PrussianWar 1870), Imperial Russian Navy in 1878 & Roumanian Army, those Galand served with success due to their exquisite double action mecanism alowed for rapid firing, the extracting system made loading the revolver much faster than contemporary gate-loaded pistols such as the famous Colt Peacemaker. Action & timing function very well. The original finish was in the white rates 85% with very light tiny clusters of pin prick erosion here and there. The original walnut polished smooth grips look good the right has two discreet notches and the right one has a crack due to age, with ts lanyard ring. Well built and in good condition make this rare Galand M1868 very collectible. I described it to the best of my knowledge. I will ship the gun to the 48 contiguous States for $75.
