Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique French Ordnance Revolver Model 1873 manufactured the government arsenal factory St Étienne (MAS) made in 1880. Double action Model 1873 chambered or 11x 17.8mmR caliber, with 4.1/2" Barrel with good bore with sharp rifling. FFL is not required for transfer. This antique revolver is in a superb condition. It was made purposely and left in the white to probably force the man to clean and oil it constantly his side arm to prevent to rust. The next generation the Model 1874 issued only to officer was improved by a protective blue finish. Designed by Chamelot Delvigne this first army side arm revolver using center fire ammunition. Superbly well & strongly double action mechanism built was so popular that it was adopted by other armies: Belgian in 1871, the Italian and the Swiss in 1872, It served successfully in to all the conquest and campaign of Africa and Indochina. The old ammunitions & the red kepi on the pictures are not for sale. In WWII the German occupant seized all available weapons, the French resistance in need of guns converted these solid & reliable Modèle 1873 re-chambering the cylinder into 45ACP caliber which was dropped by British plane. This one is still in its original caliber. All what I didn't described is visible on the pictures including the arsenal repair of the grip. I described it to the best of my knowledge. What is not written on the description would be on the pictures. Please don't ask for extra pictures.
