Here we present an antique Bacon Arms Company Pocket-Sized Pepperbox Revolver, manufactured circa the late 1860s in Norwich, Connecticut chambered in .22 Rimfire. This is one of the estimated 1,000 Bacon Arms pepperbox revolvers manufactured just after the close of the Civil War. The 6-shot barrel cluster is marked "BACON ARMS CO. NORWICH, CONN". It has a knurled barrel cluster pin, checkered hammer, smooth spur trigger and smooth square butt grips. The history that these pistols enjoyed over the years is astounding: the Seminole Wars, Gold Rush, Mexican War and American Civil War. These guns are true relics of American history.
The action functions properly, although the cylinder indexes a little behind. The arbor pin is a little short this cannot fully thread, but still holds the cylinder in place. The bores are all in good shape with nice rifling. The rosewood grips are solid and smooth. Nice nickel and blue finish.

Barrel is 2-1/2 inches.
