Synopsis: Wonderful Ruger Hawkeye Revolver, Low SN, Boxed, 455, FB01087 Description: The Ruger Hawkeye, a single shot revolver in cal .256 Hawkeye, was one of the more interesting pistols designed and released By Ruger for commercial sale in 1963-1964, production totaling 3075 revolvers. This early production gun has the usual ramped front site, serrated front sight and fully adjustable rear sight. Manufacturer, model, and caliber are marked on the left side of the barrel with the manufacturer location Southport Conn on the left side of the frame. The serial number 455 is on the right side of the frame. This example has been upgraded with the larger brass dragoon frame, and correspondingly wider trigger. Complete with an original but later production Ruger box. Condition: 98% Bright Original salt blue, with minimal muzzle and sharp edge wear as carefully photographed, Brass grips mellowed to a pleasing mustard tone. Wood panels as new.
