M1917 Colt US PROPERTY .45 acp Mfg. 1919
Description: One fine shooting .45 acp revolver, produced by Colt for service in WWI then again for WWII for US forces. Wearing a 5.5 inch barrel on a heavy frame with smooth Walnut stocks. Chambered in .45acp or .45 Auto Rim cartridge, made to leave a big hole in German soldiers. At a hefty 2.5 lbs. the revolver handles the .45 with ease and makes for a very pleasant and accurate shooting sidearm. US PROPERTY marked on bottom of barrel with Eagle Head acceptance proof on left side above the Colt Ramparts. Gun appears to be an older refinish in very good condition with all script crisp and legible. Tight SA and DA operation with good bore and rifling.US Army markings and inventory number on butt with serial number on crane. A fun to own and shoot US marked .45 revolver and a shooting piece of WWI History at a value price. Add 3% when paying with card. Free shipping for all US Veterans.
