"Colt Ainsworth Prototype Single Action Army .45 LC caliber revolver. One of a Kind Colt Single Action Army Ainsworth Prototype. Made in 1996. Very interesting Colt Single Action Army Ainsworth inspected prototype. Master gunsmith and Colt Single Action Expert and Restorer Dave Lanara built this gun in collaboration with Colt. Included with this gun is his explanation of the events. Nothing materialized from the project (but this gun) and Mr. Lanara was sent this gun as payment for his time and efforts. This is the first and last modern gun that letters as Ainsworth inspected. Very neat piece. Comes in original box. Gun is in mint condition and has several explanations of what transpired in the creation of this prototype.
