Original Remington 1858, 1865 production
Description: This is the real deal. Now- that being said, I believe it was reblued- like 90 years ago. It is all matching numbers, grips (both, in pencil), frame, cylinder and barrel. Grips are in excellent condition, retaining a strong inspector stamp- GP in a box, at the bottom edge of the left grip. 6 shot .44, 8" barrel. Old reblue is approx 90%, and is very well done, as none of the markings, legend nor inspector stamps were buffed out. Gun is tight as a tic and has a mint bore. This is really a fantastic example of wartime production, and old reblue or not, presents as an original gun with medium wear and usage. Most of these revolvers were heavily used and show it, this one is very, very nice and worth the price of admission. As an antique, it can be shipped directly to your home. $45 shipping to the lower 48, 3% surcharge for using a CC. If you choose to pay with a personal check, we will hold the item for up to 10 days to make sure that it clears. Please expedite such pymts as we will hold an item on your word for 5 days. SOLD |
