Excellent 100% original Colt Frontier Sixshooter. The peacemaker. .44-40. 7 1/2" bbl. According to Colt Factory letter, this gun was delivered to famed Texas dealer, Wolf & Klar, Feb. 3, 1925 in a single gun shipment. Grips are not listed, which is very common. These grips are a perfect fit, beautiful fleur-de-lis engraving. They sport the Colt logo. Back in these days, many enthusiasts discovered that you could order the gun without grips, or take standard, then visit the manufacturer of the Colt grips, buy and install from them. Saved a few bucks. If you're into collecting these, you will find many that have "no grips" listed, that are typically adorned with ivory, fleur-de-lis or birdseye. They'd be exactly same as factory because they're from same manufacturer. Gun is in excellent overall condition. A few nicks and dents to grips, a little fade of color, faint drag line indicts little use. An outstanding example of this model. Trades considered.
