FOR .44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE Antique BELGIAN .44-40 WCF REVOLVER Wild West Late-1800s Top Break Revolver for the US Market!
Description: FOR .44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE Antique BELGIAN .44-40 WCF REVOLVER Wild West Late-1800s Top Break Revolver for the US Market! Here we present a Belgian Double Action Top Break Revolver in .44-40 WCF, manufactured in Belgium circa the late-19th Century. The Belgian gun makers thrived in the period from the late 19th Century up through World War I. Many made copies of American revolvers. For the most part, these guns were well made, and of good materials. This 6-shot double action revolver chambered in .44-40 WCF was a hefty self-defense weapon that was a for sure man stopper. This one certainly has some distinct aesthetics but the overall design is quite a lot like the double action Smith & Wesson revolvers from the end of the 19th Century. It is a top break design with an automatic star ejector. This is a large revolver and chambered for the ubiquitous .44-40 WCF or, as the gun itself states: “FOR .44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE”. This allowed it to fire the same cartridge as rifles such as the Winchester Model 1873 and 1892 and would have made a good pairing, just as the Colt SAA was. Just like a lot of European pistols and revolvers of the time, this one comes with a lanyard ring in the butt. The overall condition is Good. The action is not quite functional. The trigger does move the hammer but does not make it all the way to the hammer drop. The bore is in good shape with strong rifling. The markings on the frame are clear and easy to read. This is a hefty and solid revolver. An uncommon find! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 5-3/4 inches. Caliber: .44-40 WCF Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1200 #190700 SOLD Antique: Yes |
