1942 US Military Colt Detective Special (round butt)

Here is something you do not see every day: a round butt military-issue Colt Detective Special.

While you may be familiar with the thousands of square-butt military Detective Specials you have probably never seen one of approximately 100 round butt Detective Specials. In 1942 Colt acquired these guns 'off the shelf' from Colt for use by military personnel. 

The bore and chambers are shiny and it functions properly in both double and single action. It is in time. Original finish as detailed in photos below. What appear to be scratches on the left sideplate and yoke are, in fact, lint. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
