Excellent, retaining 95% plus original blue finish with some holster type wear, some minor handling marks and a cylinder drag line. 95% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling marks mostly on the bottom and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. This .357 Registered Magnum (reg. no. 3048) is one of only 839 S&W manufactured with a 6 inch barrel. The accompanying factory letter confirms the 6 inch barrel, Patridge front sight, square notch rear sight, Magna stocks, and blue finish. The letter states the revolver was shipped on October 1, 1937 and delivered to Charles Ilfield Co. of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The revolver has a factory cockeye hammer and matching serial numbers are on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, and ejector shroud. .357 Mag
