Description:
This is a full box, 20 rounds, of .45-75 W.C.F. Black Powder "Centennial" 1876 ammunition manufactured by By Winchester for the Centennial Model 1876 rifle. The green and black square corner box has the early style type face and spellings including "Calibre" but has the headstamped cartridge cut, the first time this appears in the series dating the box to circa late 1880's. The box is in very fine condition having professional repairs on the inside with a very nice cartridge cut and clearly legible "Model "Centennial" 1876" title below with some overall mild age soiling, staining and edge wear. The cartridges are in excellent condition and all appear to be period correct with the "W.R.A. CO" headstamp with most appearing native to this box. An important caliber for the Winchester collector that is part of the 1876 "Centennial" marked box series.
